Graduate theatre company GOLKK’s online workshops and performance

GOLKK Theatre, one of the theatre companies supported by the School of Arts, are creating a performance entitled Future Us which will premiere at a Watch Party on Saturday 19 September 2020.

The project has been commissioned by Looping the Loop Festival, as part of their Back to The Future project, made possible by Arts Council Emergency Grants. Looping the Loop aims to make live performance available to everyone in Thanet, a region of Kent.

Are you excited about the creative future? Future Us will be an intergenerational online performance, inspired by the word ‘Future’, and created over four one-hour workshops taking place on Saturday 12 September 2020. Each workshop group will cover a different age range; under 13, 14-17, 18-50, and 51+. No experience is necessary in order to take part.

During the workshops, participants will create a video performance which will premiere at an online Watch Party on Friday 19 September 2020.

Participants are invited to sign up for the free workshops taking place on Saturday 12 September on Google Docs, here: https://docs.google.com/forms/u/1/d/e/1FAIpQLSeKnvGhjoauDeWOje1oNvNLR-uUpneuXLsQWBjD0bugBUozyA/viewform
