Theatre of Europe launches in London in September 2014. Supported by the European Commission Representation in the UK and E.U.N.I.C. London, it is a new theatre programming Europe’s most innovative theatre directors to work in the English language with the best of British theatre talent. The project is currently in Phase 1 of development and over this period, they are inviting a selection of European theatre directors from wide-ranging artistic disciplines to travel to London for a week of research and development with British creatives. Their experiences over the week of R&D will lead to the development of full-scale productions in the future. The European Theatre Research Network (ETRN) at the University of Kent will be a principle research partner of Theatre of Europe. In her talk, Henriette Morrison will introduce the initiative, its current workshops and projects and future plans.
