During the academic year 2015/16, the School of Art’s Peter M Boenisch, Professor of European Theatre, is a Fellow at the International Research College “Interweaving Performance Cultures” at Berlin/Germany.
The College, funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, invites around ten Fellows from across the globe every year in order to investigate processes in which different cultures meet through performance.
Previous fellows include Rustom Bharucha, Nicola Savarese, Rabih Mroué, and Susan Leigh Foster. Peter’s research project explores Berlin theatres who work with migrant communities and the effect of international coproductions on local audiences.
