Clio Barnard on jury for BFI London Film Festival Sutherland Award

It has been announced that University of Kent Reader in Film, Clio Barnard (director of The Selfish Giant) will sit on the jury for the BFI London Film Festival’s Sutherland Award for the First Feature Competition alongside Desiree Akhavan, director/screenwriter (Appropriate Behaviour) (president), James Kent, director (Testament of Youth), Allen Leech, actor (The Imitation Game) and Kate Muir, film critic, The Times.

Sarah Turner, academic at the School of Music and Fine Art, will also be competing for the The Grierson Award in the Documentary Competition category which recognises cinematic documentaries with integrity, originality, and social or cultural significance. Her film Public House will be being screened.
