Using digital means, I took inspiration from Max Ernst, selecting photographs that simply stood out to me for their aesthetic or practical properties. Arranging them and connecting them with bright lines came naturally, perhaps due to the circumstances of confinement at the time (hence the title \u2018Tethered\u2019).<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-264 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.kent.ac.uk\/artistry\/files\/2021\/04\/img-1-collage-Lauren-Tilley.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"897\" height=\"594\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Dreaming<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>by Bethany Tether<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>In this collage I take inspiration from Salvador Dali to create a bizarre Surrealist piece. I used magazines to find a collection of contrasting images; I then let my unconscious take over and organise a composition without thinking.
