Furthter details will be announced later this year: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/phairsociety.org\/animal-advocacy-conference\/\">https:\/\/phairsociety.org\/animal-advocacy-conference\/\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3>Aims and Scope<\/h3>\n<p>The PHAIR Animal Advocacy Conference is an interdisciplinary meeting for researchers, advocates, practitioners, and organizations working at the intersection of animal advocacy, human behavior, ethics, policy, and societal change.<\/p>\n<p>Held every two years as the official general meeting of the PHAIR Society, the conference provides a forum for exchanging research, developing ideas, and building collaborations across academic and advocacy communities.<\/p>\n<p>Core themes include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Psychological, social, cultural, and political factors shaping human\u2013animal relations, including speciesism, moral concern, animal welfare, and animal rights.<\/li>\n<li>The social and behavioral science of meat and animal-product consumption, dietary change, vegetarianism, and veganism.<\/li>\n<li>Advocacy and social change strategies, including communication, campaigning, public engagement, policy change, institutional change, and movement-building.<\/li>\n<li>Sustainable food systems and the protein transition, including consumer behavior, choice environments, plant-based foods, and other alternatives to animal products.<\/li>\n<li>Connections between animal advocacy and wider questions of sentience, ethics, environmental sustainability, public health, social justice, and human intergroup relations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The conference is a field-defining forum for presenting and discussing research on animal advocacy and human\u2013animal relations. It is also a space for developing the intellectual, professional, and organizational infrastructure that connects research with advocacy, policy, funding, and practice.
