Hello, and welcome to the AI@Kent blog.
We help staff and students make informed choices about artificial intelligence: when to use it, how to use it responsibly and when another approach may work better.
Our team has two connected areas of work:
- developers who build and support AI tools and features; and
- trainers who support education, teaching and learning, research, and AI literacy.
We provide training, practical advice and resources. We may recommend an existing tool, help develop an approach or explore whether something new could be built.
Our goals are to build confidence, support responsible AI adoption and prepare Kent’s staff and students for an AI-enabled workplace. Kent staff can visit our AI@Kent SharePoint pages or contact us to arrange a conversation or training session.
What you will find here
We created this blog to share more of the work happening in our team and in the university.
We plan to tell you more about:
- case studies about university staff using AI in interesting ways;
- summaries of our webinars and videos;
- perspectives on important AI news;
- book recommendations and reading lists;
- explanations of Kent’s AI principles and training materials;
- our team and our work behind the scenes.
