As we head into May we’re gearing up to see many students start packing up their belongings and depart the campus for the summer.<\/p>\n

Yes, that’s right. As of 20 June 26, most student accommodation contracts will end for this academic year. We look forward to welcoming many of you back into campus accommodation in September, however, there are some whose university journey has come to an end. So, before we say a big farewell to you all, there are just a few things we need to cover before you leave.<\/p>\n

When does my accommodation contract end?<\/h4>\n

Accommodation end dates:<\/p>\n

1. Most undergraduate 31 and 38-week accommodation contracts (excluding KMMS) end at 10:00 on Saturday 20 June 2026. That’s the day you’ll need to move out<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2. 44 and 52-week contracts end a little later – check your move-out date on the Departures page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

3. If you’re a KMMS student, just remember to move out<\/a> by 10:00 on Saturday 18 July 2026.<\/p>\n

What if I want to stay on campus?<\/h4>\n

Well, you’re in luck! If you would like to stay on campus over the break you will be able to book vacation accommodation online. Make sure you book by Friday 12 June 2026<\/strong> so we can arrange everything for you to have a smooth transition. Unfortunately, you can’t remain in your current room as we allocated specific accommodation for students to stay in over the vacation period, so you’ll still need to follow the instructions below to move out of your contracted room by 10am on 20 June<\/strong>. This year we have vacation accommodation available in Woolf College<\/a> (en-suite)\u00a0and Darwin College<\/a> (shared facilities), which can be booked for a minimum of 21 nights between Saturday 20 June – Saturday 10 September from between \u00a323 – \u00a336.50 per night.\u00a0 Students who are living on campus again in 2026\/27 will be able to extend their stay until late-September when they can move to their term-time accommodation.<\/p>\n

Will my meal plan still work over the summer?<\/h4>\n

Our meal plans don\u2019t include vacation times, but rest assured, if you choose to stay on campus you’ll have a self-catering kitchen in whichever accommodation you move to over the summer period. If you still fancy eating out, check the catering website for the updated outlet vacation opening times<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What do I need to do before I leave my accommodation?<\/h4>\n

Before you head off, look over our\u00a0checklist<\/a> to ensure your accommodation is in tip-top condition and ready for its next prospective occupant.<\/p>\n
