Applications for January 2025 accommodation open on 1 November 2025<\/strong>. Accommodation is offered on a first-come, first-served basis<\/strong>, so it\u2019s best to apply as soon as possible. As long as you apply before 8 December<\/strong>, you\u2019re guaranteed to receive an accommodation offer<\/a> at one of our campuses.<\/p>\n You\u2019ll hear from us about your application before the University closes for the Christmas break<\/strong> in December.<\/p>\n Most prices listed on our website are for September starters<\/strong>\u00a0who stay for the full academic year. To get an idea of costs, check the termly rates<\/strong> on our Canterbury accommodation prices webpage<\/a>.<\/p>\n It\u2019s easy to apply! From 1 November 2025<\/strong>, simply visit the MyAccommodation Portal<\/strong><\/a> on the University of Kent Accommodation website<\/a>.<\/p>\n You\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n Your surname<\/strong> (as shown on your UCAS application)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Your date of birth<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Your Kent Applicant ID number<\/strong> (found at the top of any University correspondence)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Keep your username and password safe so you can return to your application at any time.<\/p>\n You\u2019ll be asked to select four room choices<\/strong> in order of preference. You\u2019ll still need to apply through the MyAccommodation Portal<\/strong>. You can find out more about life at Pier Quays<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you\u2019re an exchange, postgraduate, or UK International College (UKIC)<\/strong> student, apply<\/a> before Monday 8 December 2025<\/strong> to receive your guaranteed offer.<\/p>\n You\u2019ll receive your accommodation offer by Wednesday 17 December 2025<\/strong> via email:<\/p>\n Canterbury students:<\/strong> Your offer will come from the Accommodation Office<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Medway students:<\/strong> Look out for an email from Unite Students<\/strong>, who manage Pier Quays.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n If you apply after 8 December<\/strong>, please also email the Accommodation Office<\/a> to let us know you\u2019ve submitted a late application.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n If you\u2019re a UKIC<\/strong> or postgraduate<\/strong> student, you should plan to arrive on Thursday 8 January 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n There will be plenty of welcome events organised by Kent Union<\/strong><\/a>, the ResLife team<\/strong><\/a>, and your academic department<\/strong> – so keep an eye on your emails for details.<\/p>\n If your travel plans change and you can\u2019t arrive on 8 January, don\u2019t worry. Just let us know if your arrival will be delayed beyond the start of your course.<\/p>\n Once you receive your accommodation offer:<\/p>\n Accept your offer<\/strong> in the MyAccommodation Portal<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n Complete your e-induction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Register your arrival date<\/strong> – this tells us when to expect you on campus.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n You can update your arrival date in the portal up to 48 hours before arrival<\/strong>.
