\nArrivals Weekend was an absolute whirlwind! Our Ambassadors were everywhere\u2014at receptions, outside accommodations\u2014ready to greet new faces and help returning students feel right at home. This year, we raised the bar with social events in Rutherford and Eliot Lounges, Parkwood Hub, and DG-01 in the library. Picture this: hot drinks, endless biscuits, and loads of board and card games. The turnout? Amazing! It was awesome seeing new friendships bloom, especially for students in catered accommodation who don\u2019t have shared kitchens to meet their flatmates.<\/p>\n

\nAfter such a killer start, we didn\u2019t stop there. We\u2019ve been running social sessions all through Terms 1 and 2, and they\u2019re still packed with friendly faces.<\/p>\n
\nIf you love getting crafty, you\u2019re in good company. Our Arts and Crafts events are a hit, especially glass and plant pot painting\u2014student favourites! For the adventurers, we\u2019ve had trips to Howletts Wild Animal Park, Ninja Warrior UK in Medway, and Bluewater Shopping Centre. And guess what? Our Leeds Castle trip this term? \nBig news: we launched our very own Instagram<\/a>! Stay in the loop with weekly event updates, behind-the-scenes reels, and interactive polls. Our festive Campus Elf Hunt before Christmas was a blast\u2014spot the elf, win a prize. Simple, fun, and festive!<\/p>\n
\nOctober brought back the legendary ResLife Rodeo, featuring the crowd-fave Rodeo Bull Competition. Plus, a virtual bowling alley and mouth-watering treats like curry, burgers, candy floss, and churros. \nAt ResLife, EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity) is always front and centre. We host bi-weekly LGBTQ+ Socials and have held events like Sign Language courses, Diwali Diya pottery decorating, Henna tattooing, Bollywood movie nights, and Lunar New Year crafts. Our spaces were decked out for Black History Month, Diwali, Christmas, Chinese New Year, and LGBTQ+ History Month\u2014because representation matters!<\/p>\n
\nSustainability? We\u2019re all in. In October, we teamed up with FareShare for a gleaning and Right to Food project. Students harvested surplus apples from a local farm\u2014some went to food banks, and the rest turned into delicious Tarte Tatin at a uni cookery class. \nOur ResLife Ambassadors are all about boosting student energy, partnering with Kent Sport\u2019s AllActive programme<\/a>. We\u2019re your friendly faces at key events, encouraging you to try new activities and meet new people.<\/p>\n
\nCalling all plant lovers! In February, we\u2019re hosting our first gardening session in the ResLife Garden at Keynes. Plans? A herb garden, a pond, and lots of green magic.<\/p>\n
