Our ResLife team are super excited to be hosting the first-ever ResLife Rodeo, an inclusive event for all University of Kent residential students.
Taking place on 28 February from 13:00 – 17:00 in Eliot Dining Hall, we can assure you, it’s an event not to be missed!
Tasty Chuck
Don’t worry about lunch, I can tell you now you won’t be going hungry for days, with candy floss, doughnuts, popcorn, Mungos’ burgers (including meat/veg and halal), and Kerala Curry, our authentic Indian street food popup, all free to enjoy with a hot drink.*
Wrangle yourself a good time!
As the name suggests, the event will also include a rodeo bull, so let us see which of you has thighs to be proud of as you’re thrown about by the bull. Whoever stays on the longest can win a £50 Amazon voucher! If you manage to walk away unscathed, there’s a photo booth for you to take a celebratory photo or if you’re sensible you might choose to hit the photo booth before you give yourself a potential black eye. Whichever way you choose, the ResLife team will be on hand to judge your photos to award the funniest one with a £25 Amazon voucher!
For those of you with steady hands and nerves of steel, you may enjoy a game or two of Giant Jenga, that’s if you can keep things steady while rocking out to the DJ, who will be there to funk things up and keep you moving throughout the afternoon. And as if it could get any better, ResLife will also be launching their brand new VR Headsets for you all to try!
Do you want to come?
That’s great – we can’t wait to see you there! All we ask is that you register via the Home at Halls app (Pier Quays residents email the ResLife team) to secure your complimentary food vouchers! Non-residential students are welcome to turn up on the day, though you may be turned away if the event has reached capacity. If you have any specific dietary requirements, please email the ResLife team and they will do their best to accommodate.
So that’s it, not long now! Get booked and have a great time!
*Refreshments are only free to university residents. Non-residents can purchase food at their personal expense.
