Invitation to Participate: Oral Histories of Youth Clubs

I am looking for people to interview for my PhD research on youth clubs in South London (principally the present day boroughs of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham) and Liverpool between 1958 and c.1985.

Do you have experience of working in, or with, youth clubs or youth associations in South London or Liverpool between 1958 and 1985?  You might have been a youth worker, part-time or full-time leader, paid or voluntary leader, instructor, administrative staff or a member of a management committee.  Perhaps you went to a youth club in one of these areas between 1858 and 1985.  If you have attended a club or worked in one or more of these roles during all or part of this period, then I would be interested in speaking to you and recording your memories as part of my PhD research on youth clubs.  I would be delighted to hear from you if you would like to participate in an oral history interview with me to help me to build a valuable picture of what it was like in youth clubs in South London and Liverpool during this period.

Please see the Information Sheet for more details and get in contact below, or via crc9@kent.ac.uk if you have any questions. Contacting me in no way commits you to an interview, though I do of course hope you choose to take part.

Many thanks,

Charlotte Clements
