About

The main purpose of this trip is to attend the Venice Biennale. The 56th edition of this International Art Exhibition is entitled ‘All The World’s Futures’. 89 National participations will be exhibiting in the historical Pavilions at the Giardini, at the Arsenale and in the city of Venice. Okwui Enwezor curated the main exhibition, showing the work of 136 prominent artists from 53 countries. As one of the most prominent and prestigious events of the contemporary art world, attending the Biennale will provide an invaluable opportunity to learn about and engage with contemporary art from a wide-ranging, global perspective. Apart from the enormous biennale itself, tranquil teal-blue waters, and stone palaces, Venice has a lot to offer:

  • The Pallazzo Ducale (the Doge’s Palace: a grand Gothic palace),
  • The Gallerie dell’Accademia (with works by Bellini, Titian, Tintoretto, Veronese and Canaletto),
  • The Palazzo Venier dei Leoni (Peggy Guggenheim’s collection of surrealist, futurist and abstract expressionist art),
  • The Basilica di San Marco (Byzanthium domes, lavish mosaics, and a stunning gold altarpiece),

And so much more
