Rhys Harris shortlisted for Kent Student Award

Final year School of Computing student, Rhys Harris, has been shortlisted for a Kent Student Award. Rhys has been nominated for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community’ for devoting his time to distribute aid at the refugee camps in the ‘Calais Jungle’.

The Kent Student Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding contribution students make.

The Local Community award recognises a student’s contribution in improving any area or aspect of the local community by offering support to a disadvantaged group or by volunteering with a community project.

Winners and runners-up will receive their awards and prizes at a gala dinner on Friday 6 May 2016.
