Professor Leon Chua gives talk alongside Nobel Prize winner

Professor Leon Chua, an EC Marie Curie Fellow at the School of Computing, was invited to  talk at an EC Research Day in Prague, together with Prof Peter Higgs, a Nobel Prize winner.

Professor Leon Chua formulated theories behind the memristor, a new electrical component which will in the near future replace current transistor based digital memories.

Professor Peter Higgs was awarded by Nobel Prize in Physics in 2013 for theoretical discovery of a new fundamental particle called Higgs boson, which explains, why some fundamental particles have mass.

European Conference and Exhibition on Non-destructive Testing (11th ECNDT) was held in Prague, Czech Republic, in October.
