The local Canterbury area also has many independent guest houses, hotels and B&Bs, all within close distance to the University. Some of our favourites are Yorke Lodge Guesthouse (located half-way between the city and the campus), The City of Canterbury Guesthouse (just a short walk away from the campus), The Falstaff (based in one of the oldest historic buildings in Canterbury, and on Uni bus line), Cathedral Lodge (located in the grounds of the stunning Canterbury Cathedral), House of Agnes (15th c. inn on Uni bus line), and ABode (in town centre and with a very popular restaurant).
Alternative accommodation can also be found at Whitstable, a seaside town on the north Kent coast, approximately 5 miles from campus, and connected to it by regular buses.
