The School of Politics and International Relations is recruiting student ambassadors for 2015/16.
The School undertakes many recruitment activities throughout the academic year aimed at prospective students and we are looking for enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated students to join the recruitment team.
Ambassador work will include leading sessions at UCAS applicant days and dedicated Politics at Kent days, campus tours and promoting the School to prospective applicants at Open and Applicant Days.
These activities primarily take place on Wednesday afternoons and on Saturdays, candidates should be flexible and able to work these days.
The Ambassador scheme is open to all second and third year undergraduate students, as well as those students returning from their year abroad.
Ambassadors should be as comfortable addressing large groups of people as they are talking to visitors one on one and, most importantly, are able to positively promote the School, their programme and the ‘Kent experience’.
Students applying for the scheme should be reliable, trustworthy and have the ability to take initiative. They should also be able to demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills as well as excellent team working and people skills.
Ambassadors that successfully make it through the selection process will receive full training from the School in order to prepare them in their roles.
If you would like to apply for the role, please send:
- An email with a statement of no more than 250 words explaining your motivation and
- A CV of no more than two sides outlining your most relevant experience
