Application Development graduate scheme

This scheme sees graduates designing and implement innovative business solutions for key internal stakeholders, that will ultimately drive Baillie Gifford forward:

  • 2 year rotational programme
  • Graduates work with a range of cool technology from desktop to mobile & cloud technology
  • Working primarily on applications that run on Oracle and SQL databases
  • Graduates will be working on the full lifecycle of important, interesting projects that really make an impact
  •  Support and training, including for the IOC qualification

Is this for me?

  • Baillie Gifford are looking for the brightest individuals who have a passion for technology
  • You do not have to have studied for a particular degree but you
  • must be able to code in at least one language
  •  You must be keen on a career within the finance industry and take an interest in how your expertise will impact this industry
  • They need people who can think outside the box and creatively solve complex business challenges
  • You should be confident enough to deal with key stakeholders in the business and to advise and act on their ideas

Technical Infrastructure graduate scheme

The Technical Infrastructure scheme will give you unrivalled insight into the workings of the firm and the chance to work with and explore their cutting edge technologies:

  • 2 year rotational programme through teams including data services and operations, information optimisation and integration and time on the Service Desk
  • The work has an immediate and tangible impact. Solving tech problems to keep the firm running smoothly
  •  Fantastic travel opportunities; last year a grad took a secondment to New York
  •  Support and training, including for the IOC qualification

Is this for me?

  • For this scheme you must have a real interest in infrastructure, networks and technology
  • Baillie Gifford want hands-on fixers who can get stuck in and find immediate solutions
  • You must be studying for an IT, computing or technology related degree
  • Natural problem solvers will thrive in this role and any hands-on exerience that proves your interest in tech will be viewed positively
  • You will be dealing with individuals across the business and so good communcation skills are vital
