MSc Student

Issabel is an MSc student and research assistant at the University of Kent. Her research interests are predominantly in the field of social psychology, specifically, in dehumanisation and intergroup relations. Issabel’s MSc research project is investigating the impact of animals’ moral capacities on humans’ perceptions of animals, beliefs about human-animal similarities, and hierarchies. The research will further explore whether showing participants moral behaviours in different types of animals may not only influence people’s perceptions about animals and their beliefs about human-animal relations, but also the dehumanisation of, and negative attitudes towards, human outgroups.
