On Sunday 28 May, the Sports Development team took 20 University of Kent students to Joss Bay in Broadstairs in Kent Union minibuses for a ‘Sports Day at the Beach’! The participants played Petanque, Beach Volleyball, Vortex, Bat and Ball, swam and even tried Stand Up Paddling! Some even played board games, enjoying some fish and chips and a few got an ice-cream!
This was the first time Kent Sport has offered an event at the beach. Despite the weather being somewhat overcast, the participants had a lot of fun and for a few stress-free hours forgot all about the exams!
