Financial Times

Don’t forget the business school has copies of the financial times delivered daily during term time, come to the admin office on the 3rd floor of the Medway building to collect a copy.

• The shuttle bus linking the Medway and Canterbury campus’s has been extended until at least the end of the 2014 academic year. To book your place on this free service simply click here.

• Matthew Keeble has won the election to take over from Nick Duffy as the Kent Union Medway Student Committee President for the 2013/2014 academic year.

• Medway student Jack McDonnell has created a map detailing all points of interest in the Medway area for university students, it lists everything from clubs to eateries and is continuously being updated. Click here to look at the map.

I hope you had a great Christmas break and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy New Year from all of the Kent Business School at Medway team.

We are starting 2013 with a new initiative: our first student newsletter, which highlights new events and activities taking place in the next few months. 2013 is set to be an exciting year at Kent Business School Medway and we are keen to hear from you in order to make things even better.

Kent Business School at Medway has recently also started its own Facebook and Twitter pages to help keep you informed of all upcoming events and news from the campus, as well as sharing handy tips on items ranging from employability to revision techniques. Kent Business School is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help out with its marketing, with responsibilities ranging from blog writing to event promotion.

NSS

The National Student Survey (NSS) will be taking place this month, so all those in their final year will be sent a survey asking them to rate a number of different aspects about of their university experience, the results of this survey are used to rank Universities across the UK on the aspects contained in the survey. The results are available in the public domain and will be used by employers, prospective students to see how Kent ranks against other institutions. More details about the survey will be sent to you in the coming weeks.
