Kent Students awarded bursary for India Immersion Programme

The Dean for Internationalisation, Dr. Anthony Manning, together with International Partnerships Directorate, have teamed up to design a bursary opportunity that supports 3 Kent students to participate in the India Immersion Program offered by Amity University.

The 2017 round of applications for the bursary closed in June with the successful applicants later announced as:

  1. Stephen Evans (Biochemistry)
  2. Sophie Annabel Nash (Religious Studies)
  3. Eleanor Clare Middlemass (Anthropology)

As part of the programme, the students travel together and spend 2 weeks in India across the end of August and early September 2017. The programme involves academic lectures/session which provide exposure to Indian heritage and culture; cultural visits and cultural programs with student counterparts at Amnity University; as well as industrial visits based on academic background of the visiting students.
