I am currently associated to the University of Ferrara, Dipartimento of Studi Umanistici where I carry out research and I teach philosophy of science.
I held several research, teaching, and visiting positions at the Free University of Brussels (BE), University of Kent (UK), Université catholique de Louvain (BE), University of Pittsburgh (UK), London School of Economics (UK), University of Padova (IT).
I am interested in causality and probability in the social, biomedical and policy sciences, and in the relations between science and technology.
