Special Interest Group Panel on Crime Writing

There will be a PALA Special Interest Group Workshop on Crime on the morning of 15 July. The Special Interest Group brings together researchers interested in (re)presentations of crime in fiction and non-fiction, as well as crime and criminal justice system-related language. This can include crime fiction, police procedural fiction, crime news, and language in the legal system. The aim of the panel is to promote interaction among those working on these crime-related topics.

Please send abstracts of no more than 250 words directly to the SIG organisers:

Ilse Ras (University of Leeds): eniar@leeds.ac.uk

And

Ulrike Tabbert (University of Huddersfield): ulritab@googlemail.com

Abstracts should be sent as Word attachments, and include your full name, affiliation, academic position, postal address, email address, the title of your paper and five keywords.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is 9th January 2015. Abstracts submitted to the SIG which are not included in the workshop will be forwarded for consideration for the main conference.
