Apprentice recognised in top apprentice awards

Higher apprentice, Bradley Whiting shortlisted as top apprentice at School Leaver Awards

Bradley Whiting, a higher apprentice based at GSK Worthing, was shortlisted earlier this year for a national apprentice award.

The School Leaver Awards are an annual event to celebrate excellence across the top 100 employers for school and college leavers.  Bradley was nominated in the Best School Leaver Category, this award recognises individual school and college leavers for their great work, going above and beyond what their programmes require of them. Bradley was nominated for the award by his manager and was shocked to find out that he had actually been shortlisted, being just one of 9 selected from 150 entrants.

“It was an amazing experience being able to attend the award ceremony – it was a really nice night and the food was amazing. It was a great feeling to be nominated, knowing that my managers truly value my contribution and having my work recognised was great” – Bradley Whiting

The award ceremony took place at the Waldorf Hilton in London, and Bradley attended together with two of his managers. Though narrowly missing out on the top spot, Bradley was recognised for his achievements and was awarded a plaque as a runner up. Bradley and his colleagues from GSK did, however, accept two other awards on the company’s behalf – with GSK recognised by AllAboutSchoolLeavers.co.uk as the top employer in Science and FMCG.
